Industry veteran, Johnathan Leppert, to head new program
Firmatek, the industry leader in stockpile measurement and mapping for the aggregate mining industry, is excited to announce the launch of its Software Development Department. The decision to invest in building internal development capabilities reflects a continued focus on offering clients better ways to visualize and utilize their data. Firmatek’s new department will be led by Johnathan Leppert, a senior software engineer with a wealth of experience in building geospatial data visualization tools, having previously worked for both Kespry and Airware. The new department’s objective is to enhance the current customer experience and continue to expand Firmatek’s offerings. As technology in the industry continues to improve, including automation and machine learning, Firmatek’s investment in this new department signals a commitment to staying on the forefront of technology and providing clients a best-in-class solution.

This initiative will be headed by the company’s first Senior Software Engineer, Johnathan Leppert. Jonathan is a seasoned software engineer having spent most of the past four years focused on the drone industry. Jonathan was one of the lead developers on Kespry’s cloud portal. He has previously worked in software development roles at, Airware, LinkedIn, OpenSpace, Extole, Manta, Teleperformance, and Wyred. His primary role will be developing and managing Firmatek’s client portal, focusing on data visualization tools, automation, and machine learning.
