Geospatial Field Technician Team

Our nationwide field staff rapidly mobilizes across the country, performing more than 2,500 field service jobs per year. All of our field technicians have Part 107 FAA licenses and MSHA safety training. Equipped with a laser scanner and a drone, they collect data on behalf of our industry clients. Firmatek’s Field Services are an end-to-end solution.

Data Processing Team

Whether it’s a stockpile or inventory measurement, a point cloud or aerial image, or a complex engineering project, we use the data our clients collect to create deliverables that provide insights and improve business results. Our data processors have a deep understanding of the industries we serve. When they process data, the analysis goes far beyond providing another data point.

Engineering Team

Our engineering team tackles special projects ranging anywhere from underground tunnel mapping to challenging ground topography scanning to identifying joint sets in highwalls.

Customer Support & Customer Success Teams

Firmatek’s customer support team makes it easy for clients to turn site data into business intelligence. Our team is equipped to assist in the areas of technical support, site-specific recommendations, and drone technology research and development. We work with our clients to determine the best tool for the job and implement solutions that meet their site needs. We are there to assist you from training and on-boarding to day to day operational questions about your drone or our software platform.

Lauren Elmore

Chief Executive Officer

Lauren is the Chief Executive Officer and part owner of Firmatek. She has overseen Firmatek’s transition from a regional Texas laser scanning company to a national leader in drone solutions. She has a background in finance and law and is part of the investment team from an Indiana based private equity firm, Elmore Companies. She received a B.A. in Economics from Stanford University in 2008 and received her J.D. and M.B.A. with honors from Indiana University in 2014.

Dustin joined Firmatek in 2015 as Director of Business Development. Prior to joining Firmatek, he was co-owner of Petram Measurements. During his time at Petram, he grew the company from a startup to a successful multinational stockpile measurement firm that measured over $2.5 billion in aggregate products.

Joshua Wilson

Vice President of Operations

Joshua joined Firmatek in 2015 as a Geospatial Field Technician. During his tenure at Firmatek, Joshua has become our resident Riegl expert, which has given him the privilege of getting to experience all manner of specialty work from scanning a ski slope in the Colorado Mountains to data collection 800 feet underground in a silver mine in Mexico. Joshua has a passion for Firmatek and for providing a consistent level of service to all of our clients. Joshua enjoys helping our field team reach peak efficiency. Prior to joining Firmatek, Joshua worked for Petram Measurements, a multinational stockpile measurement firm that measured over $2.5 billion in aggregate products.

Steele Olsen

Vice President of Strategic Initiatives

Steele joined Firmatek in June of 2018 as a Geospatial Field Technician. In 2020, he was promoted to Drone Solutions Manager, and subsequently to Director of Drone Operations in late 2021. Steele oversees both client and field team drone operations for Firmatek. Prior to joining Firmatek, he was in graduate school at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. He has a Master’s of Science in Geoscience and Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Geospatial Technology. Steele enjoys learning about new technology and developing methodologies with new platforms to help clients make informed decisions in all industries Firmatek serves.

Eric Bitzko

Senior Vice President of Electric Utilities

Eric has over 15 years in the Electric Utility industry as a Journeyman Lineman. During his time while leading System Maintenance he founded the UAS program at the largest Electric Cooperative in the United States. Eric has been flying drones since the Section 333 days and has pioneered many of the techniques used in the Electric Utility industry to this day. Including utilizing drones for named storm response, flying conductor pull lines and building cyclic maintenance programs incorporating Engineering and Operations to improve overall system resilience and reliability. He has also represented the utility sector on Homeland Security Technology Committees as well as working on multiple Texas House Bills surrounding the use of UAS. Eric has also consulted with a variety of utilities in developing internal UAS programs.

Matthew Van Slembrouck, PE

Director of Business Development – Kespry

Matt is a licensed Professional Engineer in Michigan. Prior to joining Firmatek, Matt was an account manager at Kespry. Matt has been working with Kespry since 2014 in his work as a Project Engineer and Mine Planning Engineer and Manager. As an experienced user of the software, Matt understands how the technology changed his company’s understanding of inventories, topography, and site planning. He enjoys meeting clients and learning about how they are using our software and services in their businesses.

Matt lives in Detroit with his wife Ashley and their three children, Samuel, Alice, and Luke. Matt has a BS in Civil Engineering from Michigan Technology institute.

Roger Sterry

President of Client Services

Prior to his start with Firmatek, Roger was CEO/Principal of PLMS, Inc. When PLMS merged with Firmatek in 2015, Roger became part of the Executive Leadership team. He has worked in the mining industry since 1986 and was among the first to use the prism-less laser system. After experience in both blasting and inventory measurement, he decided to focus on quantifying and developing a methodology of bulk raw inventory in 1992. Today, he is recognized as an industry leader in the measurement and management of bulk raw material.

Dustin Dudley

Chief Executive Officer

Dustin Dudley is Chief Executive Officer of Firmatek and brings 15 years of experience building companies where field operations and data meet. He founded Petram Measurements, a national field data measurement and analytics firm, and built it to a successful sale to the Elmore family in 2015. He drove revenue growth at Firmatek from the start, was named President in 2021, and became CEO in 2025. An entrepreneur at heart, Dustin is at his best opening new markets and building the client relationships that fuel aggressive growth. Since he joined, Firmatek has grown more than fivefold, completed three strategic acquisitions, and expanded from its roots in aggregates and mining into solid waste, telecommunications, investor-owned utilities, and electric cooperatives.

Today, Dustin is focused on Firmatek’s technology edge. This includes investing in software development and applying AI to expand the volume of data the company can process and to streamline the workflows that turn field data into client-ready insight. He leads a national team of certified drone pilots and LiDAR operators, supported by data analysts and industry specialists across the markets Firmatek serves. Outside of Firmatek, Dustin is active in his church and is a member of YPO, the global leadership community of chief executives. He lives in Chicago with his wife and has four children. 

Emy Huseby

Chief Financial Officer

Emy Huseby is the Chief Financial Officer of Firmatek, LLC, responsible for financial strategy, accounting operations, and strengthening the company’s systems for scale. She brings nearly two decades of leadership experience across the Elmore Companies portfolio, specializing in building high‑performing accounting departments with strong controls, efficient processes, and operational rigor. Since joining Firmatek as a dedicated executive in 2025, Emy has led initiatives to modernize financial reporting, enhance spend management, and support long‑term strategic planning. Her background includes extensive work in multi‑entity financial oversight, organizational design, and operational execution. Emy is a graduate of Minot State University and originally hails from North Dakota and northern Minnesota.

Mike Harmon

Chief Revenue Officer

Mike Harmon is Chief Revenue Officer at Firmatek, where he leads revenue and go-to-market functions, including sales, business development, marketing, and revenue operations, across the Electric Utility, Mining & Aggregates, and Solid Waste markets. He brings more than 30 years of sales leadership experience and over 15 years in the C-suite, with a proven track record of building and scaling high-performing revenue organizations. Throughout his career, Mike has built and led high-performing sales and marketing teams, transformed commercial organizations, and led global teams of more than 300 through periods of rapid growth. His approach is grounded in understanding the economic buyer and aligning customer conversations with the operational, regulatory, and financial priorities that matter most to business leaders. He brings a disciplined, outcomes-focused approach to building sales organizations and delivering measurable outcomes.

Eric Bitzko

Senior Vice President of Electric Utilities

Eric Bitzko leads Firmatek’s electric utility vertical, serving clients from small, remote cooperatives to large investor-owned utilities. A journeyman lineman with almost 20 years in the industry, he founded the unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) program at Pedernales Electric Cooperative, one of the largest electric cooperatives in the United States. He led the cooperative-wide maintenance program that cut SAIDI by more than two-thirds. A UAS operator since the FAA’s Section 333 exemption era, Eric helped pioneer UAS based storm damage assessment, UAS pull line operations, and cyclic maintenance programs that integrate Engineering and Operations. He has advised policymakers at the Texas State Capitol on public safety integration of UAS, served on a U.S. Department of Homeland Security technology committee focused on UAS and CUAS, and consulted with utilities on building internal UAS programs.

Craig Trotter

Vice President, EU Operations

Craig Trotter serves as Vice President of Operations at Firmatek, where he leads operational strategy, execution, and performance across the company’s Electric and Utilities business. He brings more than 20 years of leadership experience spanning telecommunications, utilities, logistics, manufacturing, and large-scale operational management. Prior to joining Firmatek, Craig held leadership positions with John Deere, Amazon, and Porsche Cars North America, developing expertise in operational excellence, organizational transformation, process improvement, and building high-performing teams. His leadership approach emphasizes accountability, strategic execution, continuous improvement, and developing people to achieve sustainable business results. Craig also served as an officer in the United States Marine Corps, where he led Marines in combat operations in Iraq, an experience that continues to shape his approach to leadership, teamwork, and decision-making under pressure.
